What else is happening in the Foundation Stage?

In topic we made tiger pizzas after reading ‘The Tiger who came to Tea’ – they were roarsome.

In Autumn term children took part in a Leaf hunt.

Outside area inspiring children to use their imagination and create a castle. Children enjoy working as a team and sharing ideas.

Our annual farm animal visit.  FS had a fantastic day sharing the playground with our visitors and learning all about goats.

After reading the story Handa’s Surprise and feeling inspired FS painted their own African necklaces using paper plates.

During P.E. FS love playing with the parachute. It develops our gross motor skills and attention and listening.

During Phonics we don’t just practise our reading and writing. FS enjoy rhythm sticks, we use them to develop our language and listening. See the video below to have a watch and listen.

That’s it for the Spring Term. Time for a short break and then back in full swing on Monday 9th April for the start of the Summer Term.

WORLD BOOK DAY (AGAIN)

School will be open on Monday 5th March and we will also be celebrating World Book Day, as we missed it last week.

Meeting the Lord Mayor Jan 2018

The school council were honoured to meet the Lord Mayor and some of his councillors. The school Council shared the benefits of their launched healthy eating campaign and their plan for supporting food banks with the Mayor. All the children benefited from the trip by learning about the role of the Lord Mayor and City Councillors.

SCHOOL UPDATE – TUESDAY 12TH DEC – SCHOOL IS OPEN

We will be open tomorrow (Tuesday) as usual.

Our premises team have worked hard to clear a path for all pupils, parents and staff to walk around the school safely.

Please advice your children to use the gritted paths to avoid incident and remember to wrap up warm.
