Last week we held our annual Summer Fete in blistering heat and what an afternoon it was. The turn-out was fantastic and we managed to make an exceptional £1200 on the day. A massive thank you to everybody who came along and took part.
Its that time again, where we celebrate the continued achievements of our pupils. Each child who has made progress in the last term was awarded with a small gift to outline their achievements in the last term at school.
Well done to all the children who worked very hard since Christmas and made either expect progress or better in that time. Keep up the good work.
This week, children and staff made a fantastic effort dressing up as their favourite book characters for World Book Day. There were some quite comical sights, but a few truly excellent costumes made by the parents and carers. Well done all. Have a look at some of the photos by clicking on the image below…
The summer holidays are now behind us and we can look forward to a new and exciting school year in 2013/14.
We would also like to say a huge and warm welcome to all the new children who will be joining us this term in most year groups, but mostly in our part time nursery.
We will strive, as always, to make your children welcome and enjoy their time at the Rowlatts Hill Primary, as well as meet progress and attainment targets to be in line with (or better than!) national expectations.
At last week’s Summer Fete, despite the slightly iffy weather, we still managed to raise a fantastic £1028 for the school in just 1 and a 1/2 hours!
Well done to all those who made the Fete the success that it was. We would also like to thanks our children and families for their donations, without which we would have not had enough goodies available for prizes.
Also a very special thanks to all those organisations who added an even greater edge by donating some fantastic prizes, like our Galaxy Tablet, Meals for 2, Beauty treatment, vouchers and much much more besides. So a big thanks you to:
Straight after the Easter break we presented our children with their progress awards. All children are included even if they have only made a small amount of progress. Thankfully, across the school our pupils have been make excellent progress thanks to their hard work and we’re all very proud of them! Each class is shown below…
