SINGING COMPETITION WINNERS
Today saw all of KS1 and 2 take part in the most fabulous singing competition. Such a lot of hard work has gone into the songs and the dance routines were brilliant.
Well done to everybody who took part. You were all amazing!
The overall winners were… YEAR 5 with Love Yourself by Justin Bieber
In second place was Year 4 and Year 1 came third.

Today we saw children from years 3 and 4 perform this year’s Diwali Assembly in front of the whole school and our families. They were truly amazing and the singing and dancing made us all very proud.
Athens v Spartans Assembly
This morning saw the culmination of our Year 6 children working with the ‘Moving Together’ team to achieve their Arts Awards. The main inspiration for the project was Athens v Sparta and was in line with the Year 6’s Ancient Greece topic. The performance for the parents and families was just fab!
Year 5 Variety Performance
Last Friday our Year 5 children put on a charity fundraising show for our parents and families. It was quite a spectacle. They also sold food and drinks to the children and parents. Overall, they raised a fantastic £330 for WaterAid. Well done Year 5 !
This Year’s Easter Performance
Well done to Years 1 and 2 for a fantastic Easter Performance. Our children and a large audience of our families and community thoroughly enjoyed it!!
Dragon’s Den Part 1
This scary bunch are this year’s Dragons from the 2015 Dragon’s Den event this month.
Last week classes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 pitched to the fearsome Dragons. The panel consisted of (from left to right) Jay Virk (Head), Prof Ian Worthington (DMU), The Lady Consort Mrs Margaret Corley, Lord Mayor John Thomas, Lee Howitt (Checkprint Ltd), PCSO Kayleigh Hubbard and Grant Penton (Business Manager).
On Thursday 12th February at 9am the winners of the event will be announced to our children and families.
All are welcome to the assembly on the 12th!
Rowlatts Hill Diwali Celebrations
This week our children celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Lights. We held a lovely assembly that was performed by children from years 3 and 4. The hall was once again chock-a-block full with families who thoroughly enjoyed the performance. In the afternoon, classes had parties to celebrate the festival.
Eid al Adha Celebrations
On Friday 3rd October the whole school joined in with celebrations for Eid al Adha. Our Year 5 children performed an excellent Eid assembly to families and members of the community explaining the history and meaning of Eid.

Year 1 Assembly – The Tiger Who Came to Tea
On the last day of this half term our Year 1 children put on a wonderful performance of ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’, a fantastic children’s book by Judith Kerr. This children were brilliant as always, as were the costumes and the set. Well done Year 1.
EID Assembly October 2013
On October the 11th Rowlatts Hill Primary held Eid celebrations across the school after an excellent assembly in the morning from our Year 3 and 4 children.
