Well done Years 2 and 6

A massive ‘Well done’ to all our Year 2 and Year 6 pupils who have been doing their KS1 or KS2 SATs this week. Everybody has worked extremely hard and both staff and pupils alike have earned a well deserved weekend off. Results to follow in July…

Academy Name Change Consultation Outcome

Earlier this month a public consultation on the proposal to change the names of Knighton Fields Primary Academy; Northfield Primary Academy; Rowlatts Hill Primary Academy; Thurnby Lodge Primary Academy; and Willowbrook Primary Academy was held. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond. Trust leaders carefully considered the comments and suggestions received during the consultation and have agreed that: Knighton Fields Primary Academy change its name to Knighton Mead Primary Academy; Northfield House Primary Academy to North Mead Primary Academy; Rowlatts Hill Primary Academy to Rowlatts Mead Primary Academy; Thurnby Lodge Primary Academy to Thurnby Mead Primary Academy; and Willowbrook Primary Academy to Willowbrook Mead Primary Academy from 28th August 2019. The change of names will explicitly reflect the Schools’ link with The Mead family of schools, celebrating our long established track record of school improvement and raising standards. Proposed Change of Academy Name

After careful consideration the Board of Trustees of The Mead Educational Trust have agreed to change the name of Rowlatts Hill Primary Academy and are proposing to change the name to Rowlatts Mead Primary Academy from 28th August 2019. The proposed name will explicitly reflect the Academy’s link with The Mead Educational Trust and its family of academies The change of name will not affect the way in which the academy is run. The Academy will remain committed to working together to make a positive difference and continue to improve the life chances of its children and young people through high aspirations and challenge. We would like to take this opportunity to assure parents that students will be able to continue wearing their existing Rowlatts Hill Primary Academy uniforms for as long as they require them. There is no requirement to purchase an updated uniform unless a replacement is needed…

BBC Radio Leicester Feature March 19

After hearing about the fantastic successes of Rowlatts Hill Primary Academy, BBC Radio’s Jo Hayward came to visit the school and was completely blown away by what she saw. She met with many of the school staff from the Principal, Teachers, Site Manager, Business Manager and our Artist in Residence and talked to them about the wonderful work we do at the school.
